Below are three California services that offer low-cost desktops and laptops to students of low-income families. Computers are priced at a range of $75.00 – $250.00.

Internet

Below are four California services that offer low-cost internet to students of low-income families in the Inland Empire. Make sure to check if the ISP offers service in your area.

  • Offer: FREE Adroid Smartphone, 5GB Data Each Month, FREE Unlimited Texts Each Month, FREE Unlimited Voice Messages Each Month
  • Qualifications: Enrollment in this government benefit program is available to consumers who qualify based on federal or state-specific eligibility criteria. You may qualify if you are on certain public assistance programs, like Medi-Cal or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). You can also qualify based on your household income. You must provide proof of program participation or proof of income.
    Discounts provided by the California and federal Lifeline programs are limited to one per household. Separate households that live at the same address are eligible, including residents of homeless shelters and nursing homes. Residents with temporary addresses are also eligible. A household is defined as any individual or group of individuals who live together at the same address and share income and expenses.

  • Price: $14.99 per month, One-time cost of $99.99 for the hotspot. 
  • Qualifications: A household needs to be 200% or below of the federal poverty level or be currently enrolled in an income-based government assistance program. Examples of programs include: food support (SNAP), financial assistance (TANF), free or reduced lunch at school, Section 8 voucher, Medicaid, and SSI. Customers must show proof of eligibility.
